Starring: Anna Maxwell Martin, Matthew Rhys, Matthew Goode, Eleanor Tomlinson
Directed by: Daniel Percival
Written by: Jane Austen, P.D. James, Juliette Towhidi
Year: 2013
Plot: Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy are happily ever after married when the nefarious Wickham enters their life again. Soon, there is a dead body on the Pemberley estate and the livelihood of all its inhabitants depends on preserving the good name of the family.
Pros: Like all BBC productions, it’s impeccably period -accurate and pretty.
Cons: More like Boredom Comes to Pemberley. Some classics deserve not to have modern franchises.
