Directed by: Alejandro González Iñárritu
Plot: Self-aggrandizing, navel-gazing and daydreaming has-been Hollywood actor tries to reinvent himself as a grand theater powerhouse by writing, directing, and starring in an adaptation of Raymond Carver‘s short story.
Pros: Entertaining as hell, smart, ironic and self-aware, shot through with magical realism. The long takes by Emmanuel Lubezki are mesmerizing. Norton and Keaton were born to play narcissistic assholes.
Cons: Zero. Tis a creative success at every level.
