The Day of the Siege: September Eleven 1683StarringF. Murray Abraham, Enrico Lo Verso, Alicja BachledaJerzy Skolimowski

Directed byRenzo Martinelli

Written byValerio Manfredi, Renzo MartinelliAlessandro LeoneGiuseppe Baiocchi

Year: 2011

Plot: It’s 1683 and the Muslims are sharpening their scimitars in joyful anticipation of sacking Vienna. The Polish hussars save the day for the Jesus folk.

Pros: Ummm… Nope, can’t think of any.

Cons: Cheesy, boring shlock, wrapped in thick cloak of some sort of post-modern Christian religiosity, which  makes no attempt to temper its superiority complex towards the infidels. Positively the worst special effects we have seen since the 80-ties.
