Plot: First manned mission past moon, heading for one of the frigid moons of Jupiter, goes smoothly until nineteen months into the voyage the communication system gets fried in a solar storm, and the feeling of dread sets in. Things don’t improve much when something starts blinking under the ice of Europa.
Pros: Solid piece of film craft: good cinematography, good acting, good set, good pace.
Pros: You’ve seen it fifteen hundred times: brave crew tries to beat the odds and fend off death in cold, cold outer space.
