Directed by: Jonathan Newman
Plot: Young Mariah’s life of comfort and privilege comes to abrupt and unexpected halt when his parents and brother are kidnapped by a villain, looking to unearth an ancient artifact of unrivaled power.
Pros: Beautiful steam-punk Victorian sets and the lead who looks like a pre-pubescent Edgar Allan Poe. Young adults are, thank god, wise above their age.
Cons: The plot is a completely ridiculous jumble of mythology and Indiana Jonesque props.
