Directed by: Barbara Machin
Plot summary: Detective Superintendent Peter Boyd, whose character swings from a self-righteous prick to a brooding loner within each installment, and his motley crew of forensic scientists, profilers, and so on, crack cold cases, which as time progresses into the series, become more and more predictable.
Pros: It’s refreshing to see police officers who don’t behave like teenagers, who are not drop dead gorgeous, brilliant, erudite, and don’t have a mass spectrometer in their basement.
Cons: We wouldn’t call it dull, darling would we? No, frumpy perhaps. Yes.
