Directed by: Constantin Werner
Plot: We gather that it’s the story Libuše, the legendary ancestor of the Přemyslid dynasty, and the founder of Prague. It’s a tunic ripper, Lady Chatterley’s Lover of AD circra 800.
Pros: Highly informative: when knew that the Czechs descended from wood elves? Who knew that wood elves spoke English sounding a bit like Vincent Cassel in ‘Eastern Promises’? And they had Ricky’s franchise in Europe 1300 years ago!?
Cons: By Svarožič! We became very aware of all the ‘R’s in the English language, for watching the performers go though lines like ‘a great city will grow on here, from these shores to the north, and across the river‘ made us feel as though we were watching a hurdle race.
