Directed by: Paul W.S. Anderson (who brought you crap such as ‘Resident Evil’ franchise)
Plot: Bad things happen when Sam Neil starts messing with theory of relativity and time-space continuum. Things get even worse when Laurence Fishburne catches a case of the stares, and Jason Isaacs starts wielding a scalpel.
Pros: It creates a feeling of dread quite well. The problem is that after about an hour you start dreading the remaining 40 minutes. Nice production design, with minimum CGI.
Cons: It feels long. We mean: long! We assume that’s what other professional movie critics usually describe as ‘intimate character study’, but we didn’t want to be intimate with the crew of Event Horizon.
